    4/17 - Announcer / Assistant PD / Music Director, Winchester, VA - Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the on-air presentation must be proficient and in accordance with basic programming and overall goals of the station. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Insure that the station is, at all times, in compliance with current FCC Rules and Regulations, both from the standpoint of program and transmitter standards of operation and performance. 2. Perform on-the-air in a professional manner, either informatively or entertainingly, as the occasion may call for, to standards set by the Program Director. 3. Provide hourly News and traffic report updates, including the re-writing of news as received from wire services or other sources. 4. Responsible for overseeing the production department including dubbing and voicing commercials. In addition, position requires all commercials scheduled to run for next day(s) are current and available for air play at scheduled times. 5. Perform effectively at remote broadcast or other out-of-studio event to which the announcer may be assigned, as an emcee or announcer. 6. Work closely and amiably with other employees in the programming and other departments for the smooth and orderly flow of work through the department(s) and/or onto the air. Execute all assignments as professionally and as swiftly as possible. 7. Keep informed as to events in the world and local communities served, and be able to communicate such knowledge on the air. 8. Take transmitter readings at the beginning of each air shift and every two hours thereafter. 9. Activates and completes EAS Tests and alerts for the station(s). 10. Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Program Director. 11. Generation of WINC-FM’s music log. 12. Meet with consultant and/or Operations Manager to discuss and implement changes, additions and rotation of WINC-FM music. 13. Work with Operations Manager and/or Marketing Director on creating and implementing promotions for WINC-FM. 14. Act as liaison between WINC-FM and record label representatives.
