1190 Leesburg Files For New Call Letters

A sign that 1190 in Leesburg is getting closer to returning to the air, the station filed with the FCC Friday for new WNDC call letters, replacing WTSD.

Faith & Values Media Group agreed to purchase the station from Potomac Radio Group earlier this year and has been working to bring the currently silent 50,000 watt AM signal back to life. The station has been off the air since January after iHeartMedia ended its LMA and the owners took the station silent.

The FCC approved the station sale in May, and the deal later closed for $450,000.
