AM Dial Check
Some recent checks of the area AM dial turned up a few curious notes:
- 1330 AM has been on and off the air in recent weeks. Currently, it’s on the air, carrying Carolina Country from WFAY in Fayetteville, NC. The audio may be pre-recorded, as it’s not in sync with WFAY’s live feed. Oddly, the station is identifying as WLIR instead of its call letters, WHGM.
- 920 AM and 1480 AM — which share common ownership, are simulcasting.
We’ll keep monitoring and will report any further changes.
