An Inside Look At The New 105.9 WMAL & ESPN 630 Studios

WMAL-FM and WSBN-AM recently had their studios and offices at 4400 Jenifer St NW renovated.

Cumulus, the owner of the radio stations, wanted to modernize their studios and reduce their real estate costs.

The renovation reduced their square footage by a third and the number of studios from fifteen to seven.

The facility is also home to the syndicated Chris Plante Show, America At Night, and occasionally produces sports programming for Westwood One.

It features an interesting write-up on the project, including the studio equipment they are using, the challenges they faced doing an in-place renovation, and how they kept the stations operating during the renovation.
