Another Local AM Station Signs Off Forever
Yesterday, we reported that WTRI in Brunswick filed with the FCC to cancel their license.
Today we are sad to report that another AM radio station has filed to cancel their license.
Salem Media Group has filed to cancel the license of 1250 WRCW in Warrenton. Salem had been using WRCW as a repeater for 570 WWRC.
Salem purchased WRCW in 2014 and lowered the station’s power from 5,000 watts to 3,000 watts so that they could double the signal strength of co-owned 1260 AM.
In 2019 Salem sold 1260 AM to Immaculate Heart Media.
