Audacy Cuts 100 Employees

Audacy, the nation’s second-largest broadcaster, laid off just under 100 employees Wednesday.

The cuts were not focused on the station level, although a few station employees were laid off.

Most of the eliminated positions were in digital, social, and the traffic and weather departments.

DCRTV has not heard of any local employees who were affected.

The layoffs come two months after the company was granted court approval to emerge from bankruptcy.

Locally Audacy owns 94.7 The Drive, 106.7 The Fan, WPGC, El Zol, 980 The Team, and 1580 The Bet in Washington, and 105.7 The Fan, Today’s 101.9, Mix 106.5, and 1300 The Bet in Baltimore.
