Baltimore Born Yacht Club Expands Internationally

A radio show that got its start at WTMD in Baltimore is continuing to grow, and is now going international. The Yacht Club with Meredith Marx, which first launched in January 2020, has expanded to 16 stations nationally and has now picked up its first international affiliate, Rewind 94.9 in the Cayman Islands. Other recent additions include WEBR in Niagara Falls/Buffalo, WGFT in Youngstown, WFRT/WKYL in Frankfort, Kentucky, and KUOL in Elko, Nevada.

The show mixes familiar favorites with deeper cuts, classic TV themes, artist interviews and features including “Fresh Catch,” which spotlights new music from yacht rock artists. “Building this show from a 2 hour sail on 1 station in Baltimore to now a 3 hour sail on 16 stations nationally has been a true labor of love,” Marx said, adding that taking the show internationally is “beyond my wildest dreams.”
