Charges Dropped Against 106.7 The Fan’s Matt Cahill

Matt Cahill, known on-air as Drab T-Shirt, is no longer facing legal action after the misdemeanor assault and battery of a family member charge brought against him in Loudoun County was nolle prosequi this week. In Virginia, nolle prosequi means prosecutors have formally chosen not to pursue the case at this time. The charge is dismissed, though the Commonwealth could refile if new evidence comes forward.

Cahill served as Executive Producer for The Sports Junkies, and Brand Manager for 980 The Team (WTEM). Following the arrest, station owner Audacy placed him on leave. With the charge now dropped, DCRTV has reached out to WJFK management to ask whether Cahill will be reinstated at the radio stations. Management has not responded to our request for comment.
