Connoisseur Media Acquires Alpha Media’s Stations in Hagerstown-Chambersburg and Fredericksburg

Connoisseur Media announced today that it will acquire Alpha Media.

Locally, Alpha Media owns radio stations in Hagerstown-Chambersburg, PA, and Fredericksburg, VA.

The combined company will continue under the Connoisseur Media banner, with current CEO Jeff Warshaw remaining at the helm. Following FCC approval, the deal is expected to close in the latter half of 2025. At that point, Connoisseur will operate 218 stations across 47 markets.

The sale price was not announced

The stations affected locally include:

Hagerstown-Chambersburg:

  • WIKZ (Mix 95.1): Hot AC
  • WDLD (Live 96.7): CHR
  • WQCM (94.3 FM):  Classic Rock
  • WCHA (800 AM / 96.3 FM): Oldies
  • WHAG (1410 AM): Simulcasting WCHA

Fredericksburg Market:

  • WFLS-FM (93.3 FM): Country
  • WVBX (Live 99.3): CHR
  • WWUZ (96.9 FM): Classic Rock
  • WNTX (1350 AM): News/Talk
