Craig Hoffman Departs WTEM for Monumental Basketball
Craig Hoffman has left afternoons on Audacy’s The Team 980 WTEM to join the Washington Wizards and Washington Mystics front office.
Hoffman, who hosted 4-7pm since June 2022, has been named Senior Director of Basketball Identity & Integration for Monumental Basketball. He previously spent six years at sister station 106.7 The Fan WJFK as Commanders beat reporter and host, and earlier worked at WTEM during its Red Zebra days.
In a LinkedIn post, Craig Hoffman called the move bittersweet after 15 years in radio, nearly a decade of them in D.C. He thanked listeners and colleagues for their support and said he looks forward to helping shape the future of the Wizards and Mystics alongside Ted Leonsis and Zachary Leonsis.
