DC And Baltimore Stations Earn Marconi Nominations

Several Washington and Baltimore stations and personalities are finalists for the 2026 NAB Marconi Radio Awards. Justin, Scott and Spiegel from 98 Rock (WIYY)  are nominated for large market personality of the year, while 98 Rock is also a finalist for rock station of the year.

Washington finalists include WGTS 91.9 for religious station of the year and El Zol 107.9 (WLZL) for Spanish language station of the year. The Ryan Smetzer Show from Mix 95.1 (WIKZ) in Hagerstown is a finalist for small market personality of the year.

The National Association of Broadcasters announced the finalists during a presentation hosted by Toby Knapp and Chilli Amar of 97.1 WASH-FM. Winners will be announced October 20, 2026, at the Edison Ballroom in New York City.
