Former 98 Rock Morning Host Alan Courduff Passes Away
Alan Courduff, a former morning personality at 98 Rock (WIYY), has died at 75 following heart problems. Courduff hosted mornings at 98 Rock with Bob Lopez.
Courduff created memorable characters including Dr. Flatula, Mama Panzarella and Glen Burnout, a play on Glen Burnie. Popular features included “Sing for Your Song,” and he once sat in every seat at Baltimore’s Memorial Stadium for a stunt that earned him the nickname “Alan Sore-duff.”
Known for his sharp, candid style, Courduff helped guide a generation of young 98 Rock staffers before leaving radio for a long career in speech pathology.
