Former DJ 100 PD Brut Bailey Passes Away
Former WDJY (DJ 100) Program Director Brut Bailey has passed away. Bailey died on March 19 at the age of 80.
Bailey was the PD of DJ 100 during the station’s run in the mid-1980s. Beyond Washington, he held programming positions at stations in Atlanta and New Orleans. After leaving radio, Bailey transitioned to the record industry.
A former colleague tells DCRTV, “he’s remembered as a ‘Mighty Fine’ Program Director, a saluted Army veteran, a dedicated friend, and when anyone was in need, he extended a hand.”
