Hubbard Begins Search For WTOP’s Next President/GM

Last month, WTOP‘s President and General Manager, Joel Oxley, announced that he would be retiring after more than 30 years with the all-news outlet. Now, station owner Hubbard Broadcasting has officially begun the search for his successor.

A newly posted job listing seeks a Market President for Hubbard‘s Washington operation, which includes WTOPFederal News Network, and digital marketing agency 2060 Digital. The position carries full responsibility for the company’s Washington-area operations, including news, programming, sales, digital, engineering, and marketing. The executive will also oversee the organization’s strategic direction, revenue growth, and journalistic standards.

The job listing says the new leader will be responsible for driving growth across radio, podcasts, video, social media, and digital platforms while serving as the company’s top representative in the Washington community. The position is listed with a salary of $300,000 to $600,000 per year, plus bonuses
