Internet Outage Knocks 100.7 The Bay Off The Air As End Nears

100.7 The Bay (WZBA) is off the air because of an internet outage, just days before the Baltimore classic rock station is expected to sign off for good. The station is still streaming. DCRTV has been told the station’s final day under Shamrock Communications is expected later this week, possibly Wednesday.

The FCC approved the sale of WZBA to K-LOVE, Inc. last week, clearing the way for the transaction to close. K-LOVE is paying $2.7 million for WZBA, along with Baltimore translator W261CD (100.1 FM) and Bel Air translator W298CG (107.5 FM). The deal was filed with the FCC in June.

Once K-LOVE takes control, 100.7 The Bay’s classic rock format will end and the signal is expected to begin carrying the company’s nationally distributed Christian contemporary programming.
