John Yang has announced he has left WETA and its subsidiary, News Hour Productions. Yang was the host of PBS News Weekend, which aired its final episode this past Sunday.
Yang plans to step back from full-time journalism.
PBS News Weekend was canceled due to federal funding cuts.
