Katy Dailey To Be Inducted To The Bluegrass Hall Of Fame

Katy Daley, who spent over 30 years in Washington radio, including stops at WAMU, WMZQ, and WAMU’s Bluegrass Country, will be inducted into the Bluegrass Hall of Fame on September 26th.

Katy started her career doing a Bluegrass show from 10 to midnight and later afternoon drive on WAMU.

In 1979, Katy moved to WMZQ-AM/FM. In her 18 years with the station, she worked overnights, was the Program Director of WMZQ-AM, was a member of the morning team, and public affairs director.

Katy returned to WAMU in 2006 to help start bluegrasscountry.org.

She retired when WAMU spun off Bluegrass Country in 2017.
