Maryland Public Television announced today that Edward Kaplan will retire as chair of the Maryland Public Broadcasting Commission on June 30.
Kaplan joined the commission in 1996 and became chair in 2007. He helped guide MPT through major milestones, including the digital transition and launch of MPT Passport.
Richard J. Bodorff, current vice chair and longtime media attorney, will succeed Kaplan as chair.
