Leon Harris Turns The Page With New Career Path

Veteran DC anchor Leon Harris is charting a new course. In a LinkedIn post, the former WRC personality revealed he has launched Leon Harris Communications, LLC, where he’ll work as a professional speaker and emcee. He also plans to launch a podcast, publish a book, and launch a new website.

Harris’s move follows a difficult chapter. A respected broadcaster for decades, he lost his position at NBC4 in April. He has been open about his struggles with substance abuse—issues that have touched many lives inside and outside of the media industry.

Now, Harris is channeling his personal story and professional skills into something new. By sharing his experiences and lending his voice at events, he hopes to inspire and connect with others while building a second act beyond the anchor desk.
