On Tuesday, DCRTV reported that somebody climbed the WAMU tower on the American University Campus. The tower is also home to WTOP and WPFW.
The climber was experiencing a mental health crisis. For 48 hours, members of the DC emergency response team worked on convincing the unidentified man to come down.
Unfortunately, they weren’t successful. At around 5:45 AM today, the climber jumped to his death.
