Megan Rivers Announces Retirement From WBAL-TV

Megan Rivers is stepping away from WBAL-TV 11 and retiring from television news.

In a Facebook post, Rivers said the decision came after lots of long talks with her family. She reflected on moving to Baltimore in January 2023, calling it the place where she has felt “the most at home” despite being farther from her immediate family than ever before. She said that after years of making her career the center of her life, she’s ready for a new chapter.” Viewers will still see Rivers on the air through late September.
