Mike Ondayko Joins WRNR
Baltimore radio veteran Mike Ondayko is returning to WRNR. The locally owned rocker announced that Ondayko will officially rejoin the station this Sunday, handling Sundays from 10am-3pm. The move comes as WRNR continues rebuilding its lineup following the station’s return to the FM dial on 93.5 FM in Annapolis and Silver Spring.
Ondayko is no stranger to Baltimore radio listeners. Many remember him as Mark from the Kirk, Mark and Lopez show at 98 Rock. He also spent time at WHFS during the station’s FM talk days on 105.7, later worked at 100.7 The Bay, and joined WRNR in 2015 where he worked multiple dayparts over the years. “I officially retired in May of 2025… but when WRNR called, I put down my Manhattan, grabbed my headphones, and here I am,” Ondayko said. “Radio is still in my blood.”
WRNR owners Kirk Litton and Jay Stevens say the addition is another step in rebuilding WRNR as a locally focused Annapolis station. Stevens noted Ondayko’s local knowledge makes him “the perfect hometown voice on Sundays” for everything from bridge traffic to boating updates around the Chesapeake Bay. The station also announced Rich Fisher will now handle both Saturday and Sunday afternoon shifts from 3pm-6pm.
