NBC4 Airs Story On Barry Richards (Video)
NBC4 aired a story Monday night about Barry Richards, who died at 83 following a stroke. Mark Segraves looked back at Richards’ larger-than-life career and his place in the Washington music scene of the 1960s and 1970s.
The report highlighted Richards’ work as a DJ, television host and concert promoter, along with his connections to some of rock’s biggest names, including Mick Jagger, Little Richard, Jim Morrison, Jimmy Page, The Who and Ozzy Osbourne. Richards famously claimed he once fired a gun into the ground to convince Osbourne and Black Sabbath to take the stage at a show he was promoting. You can watch it below:
