New Morning Show Debuts On DC News Now

DC News Now launched a new morning show today called Sunrise On The Hill. The new broadcast pairs two familiar faces to DC viewers: Hillary Howard and Cory Smith.

Hillary Howard is the host of It’s Academic, the world’s longest-running quiz show. Howard spent many years co-hosting afternoons on WTOP and has worked at WUSA, WJLA, and WTTG.

Cory Smith, returns to the DC market after a three-year run at NBC Boston. Before that, Smith was a reporter at NBC4 from 2018 to 2022.

Sunrise On The Hill is DC News Now’s latest move to beef up its local news presence. The show originates from Nexstar‘s DC studio and will air weekday mornings from 6 to 9. It mixes news, interviews, and conversation to give viewers a more DC-centric start to their day.
