Orioles & Nationals Resolve Dispute With MASN over TV rights
Major League Baseball announced that the long-running dispute between the Washington Nationals and Baltimore Orioles over the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network has been resolved.
This settlement allows the Nationals to pursue new television rights deals starting in the 2026 season, marking a significant shift from the arrangement that had limited their broadcasting revenue potential since their move to Washington in 2005.
The conflict, which began in 2012, revolved around MASN’s payment structure and ownership split, with the Orioles initially holding a 90% stake in the network.
As part of the agreement, the Nationals will remain on MASN for the 2025 season under a new one-year contract, after which they can negotiate their own broadcasting deal.
