Patrick Wholey Named VP/GM of DC News Now and CW Washington

DC News Now (WDVM) and CW Washington (WDCW) have named Patrick Wholey as their new Vice President and General Manager. Wholey joins the Washington duopoly with more than two decades of leadership experience across broadcast, cable, and digital platforms. He most recently served as VP/GM at WPRI-TV in Providence.

“Patrick brings exceptional vision, creativity, and a deep understanding of how to connect with communities through impactful storytelling,” said Brandin Stewart, Senior Vice President and Regional Manager for Nexstar Media Group.

Wholey began his media career as an advertising media buyer at Young & Rubicam, later moving into senior planning roles with Viacom/MTV Networks, and national account management at Hallmark Media and CNBC. He joined WPRI-TV in 2006, working his way up from Local Sales Manager to General Manager.
