Ron Nessen Passes Away
Ron Nessen, President Gerald Ford’s press secretary from 1974 to 1977, died on Wednesday in Bethesda.
Nessen worked for NBC from 1964 to 1973, covering natural disasters, Apollo spaceflights, and the presidential campaigns of Johnson in 1964 and Nixon in 1968.
From 1984 to 1992, he was Mutual Broadcasting’s vice president for news.
Ron Nessen was 90.
