Russ Parr Returns To Majic 102.3 (Audio)

Russ Parr made his return to Majic 102.3 (WMMJ) this afternoon, officially stepping into the station’s afternoon drive slot after being off the station since late 2023, when he wrapped up his long-running morning show.

Parr kicked off his first show with a phone call from Cathy Hughes, the Founder and Chairwoman of Urban One, welcoming him back to the airwaves. The moment served as a full-circle return for Parr, who spent 27 years in mornings on both WKYS and WMMJ before stepping away from the station.

Parr will be heard from 3–7pm weekdays. He takes over the slot previously occupied by DL Hughley, and is joined by Tanisha Nichole, DJ Sixth Sense handling the 5pm mix, and Alfredas with the Daily Horrorscope. You can hear his first break at the top of this post.
