Uncle Johnny Has Passed Away
Some sad news for DC radio fans. Paul Michaud, better known on-air as Uncle Johnny, has passed away.
Michaud began his radio career in his hometown of Hartford before heading south to Q105 in Tampa and coming to Washington in 1979. He became a familiar nighttime voice on WRQX (Q107) during the station’s Top 40 glory years.
Later in his career, Uncle Johnny brought his energy to mornings at WSIG in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley, where he continued to connect with audiences who loved his personality. R.I.P., Uncle Johnny. Another great DC radio voice has signed off.
