Veteran Network Reporter Ed Rabel Has Passed Away
Veteran network reporter Ed Rabel, whose career spanned more than three decades at CBS and NBC, has died in Little Washington, Virginia. He was 86.
Rabel joined CBS in 1966 after early work in West Virginia Radio and at WCHS-TV in Charleston. He went on to file thousands of stories from around the world, including war zones in Vietnam and the Middle East, and he conducted the final interview with Dr. Martin Luther King the day before King was assassinated in April 1968.
Rabel later moved to NBC, where he served as the Pentagon Correspondent from 1993 to 1997. More from WV Public Broadcasting.
