WERA Goes Dark
Things aren’t looking good at Arlington Independent Media. The nonprofit’s radio station, WERA 96.7 FM, has gone silent, and its website is down, replaced by a “bandwidth limit exceeded” message.
The organization has been unraveling for months: no paid staff, mass resignations, and financial problems that include over $1 million in poorly documented spending, according to a county audit.
AIM is reportedly trying to find another group to take over WERA’s FCC license, but so far, nothing’s confirmed. For now, WERA is off the air with no clear return in sight
