WFMD’S Cruizin’ Chris Michaels Exits

After two and a half years as co-host of the Morning News Express on 930 WFMD Frederick, Chris Michaels has announced his departure from the station. In addition to co-hosting, he also served as Program Director of the station.

In a farewell note posted on Facebook, Michaels expressed gratitude to Connoisseur Media, which owned WFMD at the time of his hiring, and to Frank Mitchell, who brought him aboard and provided early training. He also credited longtime friend and mentor Bob Miller for helping shape his on-air career.

Although stepping away from WFMD, Michaels emphasized that his passion for radio remains strong and hinted at a return to the airwaves in the future. “I love the radio industry; who knows where this journey will take me next, but I hope it will still be in this area,” they wrote. “You will hear me on the air again one day, because my radio career is not over.”
