WHUR Running Jockless

Over the weekend, DCRTV reported that WHUR laid off afternoon host Frank Ski and “The Original Quiet Storm” host John Monds.

Today, we found out that WHUR has not replaced them and doesn’t have anybody filling in.

WHUR is currently running jockless from 3 PM to Midnight, except for Harold Fisher‘s talk show, The Daily Drum, which runs from 7 to 7:30.

DCRTV hears there is talk at WHUR of bringing back Mansy Pullen in some capacity. But nothing Is official at this time.

Pullen hosted the Sunday night edition of The Original Quiet Storm before he got laid off from WHUR last month.

WHUR is one of the top-rated radio stations in Washington. In the latest Nielsen Ratings, WHUR had a 7.6, which makes it the #1 music station in Washington. It is only beaten by WAMU and WTOP.
