FTVLive reports that WJLA News Director Cheryl Carson announced on Friday that she was leaving the Sinclair-owned TV station to take care of her parents.
Rick Gevers reports Carson’s dad Is 90, and her mom Is in her late 80s, and they need her help. Carson has also said that she Is not done working in journalism.
Carson Is leaving in February, which, according to FTVLive sources, is when her contract comes up.
