WJZ’s Denise Koch Joins Elite Silver Circle

Longtime WJZ anchor Denise Koch is being recognized with one of the highest honors in local broadcasting. She’ll be inducted this October into the National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Silver Circle.

The Silver Circle celebrates broadcast professionals who have spent at least 25 years shaping the industry and influencing its future. With nine new honorees in 2025, the group will total 288 members.

Koch’s career at WJZ spans more than two decades at the anchor desk, where she has become one of Baltimore’s most trusted voices. Viewers first got to know her on Evening Magazine, where she covered sports. She later transitioned into the newsroom as a lifestyle reporter and went on to host Get To Know, a profile series highlighting Marylanders and their stories.
