WKCW Returns To The Air Following Tower Collapse

After nearly nine months off the air, Warrenton’s WKCW-AM (1420) is back. The station resumed broadcasting, ending a stretch of silence that began last July when one of its towers collapsed.

Last month, WKCW told the FCC it was working to rebuild the fallen tower but faced delays that could push it up against its July silent authority deadline. The station requested Special Temporary Authority to return at reduced power using its remaining tower. It appears that plan is now in motion, with WKCW back on the air while longer-term repairs continue.
