WMAL’s Bill Hess To Retire
Cumulus Media has announced that longtime News/Talk programming veteran Bill Hess will retire from radio on December 31. Hess has served as Program Director of News/Talk 105.9 WMAL for the past 15 years.
Before his tenure at WMAL, Hess held senior programming positions across multiple formats and markets. His resume includes time as Senior Vice President of Programming for Air America, Program Director for WASH and WBIG, and Director of Programming for stations in Providence, and Boston. He also served as Regional Vice President of Programming for Capstar Broadcasting. He began his radio career in 1977 as an on air personality in Chambersburg.
