WRNR Brings Back Two Classic On-Air Names

After a week of on-air teasing, WRNR has revealed what was “coming back”. The station announced the return of former WRNR personalities Bob Waugh and Carrie Evans, continuing the heritage driven relaunch of the legendary rocker.

Beginning February 14, Bob Waugh will be heard Saturdays from 10am–3pm. Waugh says the station’s revival inspired him to return to the air with a collection of interviews and memories tied to Annapolis’ music scene, including artist performances and conversations from his earlier WRNR days. Waugh says being back on the air allows him to reconnect with the artists and community that helped define the station.

On February 16, Carrie Evans returns to WRNR to host RNR Cafe, airing weekdays from Noon–2pm. Evans calls the opportunity a “full circle moment,” praising the station’s ownership for respecting WRNR’s legacy while rebuilding it for today. The additions of Waugh and Evans further solidify WRNR’s comeback as one rooted in familiarity, local connection, and the voices that originally made the station great.
