WRNR Is Back On The Air — Independent Rock Returns To The FM Dial In Annapolis

WRNR officially launched today, bringing independent rock to the Annapolis area on 93.5 FM, 810 AM, and streaming at WRNR.com.

The launch marks a major return for a station with deep roots in Maryland radio. Originally launched on 103.1 FM and long based in Annapolis, WRNR earned a loyal following for its locally programmed mix of alternative, indie, classic rock, and deep cuts, with a roster of legendary on-air talent.

WRNR stood out for decades as one of the last true independent music stations on the East Coast.

In 2023, the original 103.1 signal was sold and the WRNR brand signed off — but only temporarily. Now, with a new FM translator serving Annapolis, and AM 810, the station has returned to its roots.
