WTHU Selling Their Land
Stacie Miller of Coldwell Banker Realty has a ‘Coming Soon” listing for WTHU’s home at 10 Radio Lane in Thurmont for $435,000.
The listing Is for a five-acre lot with five bedrooms, one half bath and a common living space.
What does this mean for WTHU’s future?
WTHU’s co-owner, Michael Betteridge, told DCRTV that WTHU isn’t going anywhere.
Betteridge has subdivided the land and is selling the land next to its studio and tower. The sale will not affect WTHU, which will continue to operate as usual after the sale.
He’s selling off some of the station’s land to raise cash.
WTHU is doing local radio with an oldies format in the mornings, featuring Frederick market legend Kemosabi Joe. Last year, they also broadcast 59 local high school sports games.
Update 7/25/24 – The property Is now officially active in the MLS. Meaning it’s officially for sale.
