WTOP Expanding Top News Podcast, Hiring Two New Hosts

WTOP (103.5) is making a major expansion of its Top News Podcast, with plans to produce 12 to 14 episodes each weekday. The new format will feature 20-minute news updates refreshed hourly from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., along with a video version for digital platforms. The revamped podcast is expected to launch later this year.

To support the expansion, WTOP is hiring two full-time podcast host-producers who will lead daily production and serve as the editorial voices of the program. Each episode will feature reporting from the WTOP newsroom along with original context and analysis from the hosts.
