Jim Farley, who served as Vice President of News and Programming at WTOP from 1996 until his retirement in 2013, has died.
Radio Insight reports that Farley died of a heart attack while undergoing surgery for an aneurysm.
Jim had a long career in news before joining WTOP, including WINS, NBC, and ABC.
Farley was also instrumental in WTOP moving from 1500 AM to 103.5 FM.
