WTOP’S Joel Oxley To Retire
After more than three decades with WTOP and WFED, Senior Vice President and General Manager Joel Oxley announced today that he is retiring.
Oxley joined WTOP in 1992 as a Sales Account Executive and steadily climbed the ranks over the next several decades. He moved from Account Executive to National Sales Manager, Local Sales Manager, General Sales Manager, and was named General Manager in 1998. Along the way, he also took on oversight of WGMS, Z104, and eventually Federal News Network, WFED as the cluster expanded.
Oxley plans to give a one year notice to give time to find a replacement.
