WTOP’s Julia Ziegler to Receive the Gold Standard in Programming Award
WTOP’s Julia Ziegler is adding another trophy to her shelf. Ziegler, who has led programming at the all-news powerhouse since 2019, has been named the 2025 recipient of the Gold Standard in Programming Award. She’ll pick it up September 4th at the Premiere Networks ceremony in New York City, part of the BNM Summit.
Ziegler’s WTOP story started as an intern in 2002.. Over the past 20+ years she’s done just about everything: executive producer at 3WT and Washington Post Radio, managing editor at FederalNewsRadio.com, WTOP’s Digital News Director, and finally the top programming job.
