WWGB Goes Silent Over Financial Issues
Radio Poder WWGB (1030 AM) in Indian Head, Maryland, went off the air Friday, July 17, due to financial reasons, according to a filing with the FCC.
The stations owner, Good Body Media, is requesting to remain silent beyond the initial 30 day period ending August 16. The filing asks for an additional 180 days while the owner investigates future options for the station.
WWGB had been airing a mix of brokered Spanish and English language religious programming. The station also aired brokered Arabic language programming at one point many years ago.
