Travis Mitchell Exits Maryland Public Television

Travis Mitchell, Senior Vice President and Chief Content Officer at Maryland Public Television, is leaving to become president of Baltimore’s Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History & Culture.

Mitchell has been with MPT since 2020, overseeing programming across the network’s broadcast and digital platforms.

Mitchell will take over the Baltimore museum in November, succeeding Terri Lee Freeman, who announced her retirement earlier this year. MPT has not announced a replacement for Mitchell.
