MPT Names Chuck Roberts New EVP/COO
Maryland Public Television has a new #2. Chuck Roberts takes over as EVP/COO, succeeding Steven Schupak, who slid up to the CEO chair in July.
Roberts most recently ran Lakeshore Public Media in northwest Indiana and previously held top posts at West Virginia Public Broadcasting. He started his career there as a production hand before moving into the front office.
With an MBA from Marshall University and fresh off PBS’s exec leadership program, Roberts now heads to Owings Mills to oversee content, production, media literacy, and the state’s ad agency arm.
