Scott Jameson Leaving The Fan in Baltimore
Scott Jameson is stepping down as Program Director and Brand Manager of Audacy Sports-Talk WJZ-FM (105.7 The Fan) in Baltimore after about a year in the role, citing family reasons. According to RAMP, Jameson says the decision was a personal one tied to a his wife being promoted at her medical practice, and Jameson said it was important for him to support her career, adding that living and working between two cities had become unsustainable.
Jameson described the past year as a success, pointing to efforts to reposition The Fan as a video-first, content-rich sports brand. He credited a wide range of corporate and local leadership, including Chris Oliviero, Jeff Sottolano, Dave Richards, Mike Thomas, and Baltimore market leadership, as well as the station’s on-air talent. Jameson has agreed to remain in place through March 20 to assist with the transition.
In a staff memo, Tracy Brandys, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, praised Jameson’s impact and acknowledged the difficulty of balancing work in Baltimore while his family remained in Detroit. Brandys confirmed that the Brand Manager position will be posted in the coming days as the search begins for Jameson’s replacement, while thanking him for his contributions and leadership during his year at The Fan.
