Kyle Youmans Named New Voice of the Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens have named Kyle Youmans as the new Voice of the Ravens, succeeding Gerry Sandusky, who retired earlier this year after 20 seasons behind the microphone. Youmans becomes just the third radio play-by-play announcer in franchise history, following Sandusky and Scott Garceau.
Youmans arrives from the Dallas Cowboys, where he spent the past seven seasons as a host, producer, reporter and play by play announcer. A four time Lone Star Emmy Award winner, he has also called college football and basketball for Compass Media Networks and ESPN platforms. In addition to calling Ravens games, he’ll have a year round role across the team’s video, radio and podcast content.
Ravens radio broadcasts continue to air on WBAL NewsRadio 1090/101.5, WIYY (98 Rock) and the team’s 14 station radio network. Youmans will work alongside Hall of Famer Rod Woodson on game broadcasts and will also handle play by play for Ravens preseason television coverage on WBAL-TV and the regional TV network.
