WNAV Caught Broadcasting Without Permission on 99.9 FM
Something shady is happening on the Annapolis airwaves….
1430 WNAV, owned by Todd Bartley‘s Victory Media, is broadcasting on 99.9 FM — without authorization.
Here’s the backstory: WNAV had been leasing the 99.9 FM translator (W260BM) from Steve Kingston and Kirk Litton‘s Cortona Media.
That lease ended recently. On April 4th, Cortona filed a Special Temporary Authority (STA) request with the FCC to officially take 99.9 off the air, preparing to move to 93.5 FM. Meanwhile, 99.9 FM is supposed to be silent.
Fast forward to today — despite no lease and no permission, WNAV is back on 99.9 FM.
Cortona Media tells DCRTV they’re preparing to notify the FCC and are weighing legal action against Todd Bartley.
Meanwhile, over on 93.5 FM, Cortona is gearing up for a big comeback: the relaunch of legendary rock station WRNR.
Stay tuned — this story is just getting started.
